‘I called my trip ‘I have a dream’: the words of Martin Luther King’s famous speech. I believe that all our dreams can come true with enough motivation and persistence. My main initiative and mission from this trip was to help as many people as possible to take their dreams more seriously.’

Like me, up until now you may not have heard of Anna Grechishkina. However, I was recently privileged to virtually meet and speak with Anna. Now, a term like ‘privileged’ is one I tend not to throw around lightly. But it soon became evident how Anna, currently qualifying as a coach but also in her new role as a Journalist for International Coaching News, can provide some unique insights and timely reminders to the coaching profession.

Anna was born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1979 and has spent the last seven years travelling the globe on a motorbike. Her first trip is shown on the map below in red, her current trip in green. This however, is merely scratching the surface of her journey.

Anna’s biography is available on her website at http://www.ihaveadreamtravel.info/en/about-me/

An audio interview with her and Mark Philpott about her trips, recorded in April 2020, is available on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_a6Ekr9nBQM

This gives a tremendous insight into both Anna’s inner as well as her external journey. I would recommend listening to this interview. It enabled me to vicariously travel the world and imagine things I have not experienced. And it gave me time to reflect.

At this time of pandemic and lockdowns she is currently in Germany and unable to travel.

Anna came to coaching by one of life’s wonderful coincidences. In July 2018, she was travelling in Bulgaria and was presenting about her travels to a group at the motorcycle event Motocamp. In the audience was a fellow biker, Gerard O’Donovan, known to many of us as the Founder & CEO of the Noble Manhattan Group, Europe’s premier and longest established professional coaching and coach training organisation.
