Hello, my name is Robert Brown. I am delighted that you stopped by to pay us a visit. I’d like to take moment to explain my background and ideas and why this has led me to forming International Coaching News.

As a young child I have been brought up within a family framework that embraced the subject of ‘Personal Development’ even when most people were still questioning what it was! We were no different to most families in that we had our share of challenges and to be quite honest; some we dealt with a lot better than others. However, no matter what crisis we appeared to be enduring at the time, I always remember as a child being taught that it was nobody else’s fault and that we owned the situation we were experiencing.

Wow…what an impact that piece of news had on me when I when I was a little older and the penny finally dropped!
If I have created a set of circumstances that I don’t like then I can change it. It is not out of my control and I can change it. This was the moment at which I realised that I wanted to pursue my own development and in turn that led me to taking an interest in the development of others.

Whilst on my journey of self-discovery, I happened upon Coaching and it seemed to me to be the perfect tool to take what I already knew, add to it many new techniques and then take it in a structured and purposeful way to the people who need it.

“Knowledge in itself has no real value; the value is in the use of knowledge to assist people to enjoy a better quality of life”.

This is beauty of coaching in my opinion. It helps you and I to make a positive difference in a structured and non-judgemental way. And, this leads me back to ICN and why I formed it in the first place…. To make a positive difference!

It is my hope the ICN will evolve into every coach’s silent partner. Never intrusive but always supportive and always there when you need us.
